Back-to-school time can also be the beginning of hectic evenings when you’re trying to get dinner on the table and make sure homework is finished.  Perdue and Crayola are partnering to help families enjoy dinner together and bring some fun to the table.

Families can log on to perdue.com/familyfun and upload a photo, drawing or coloring sheet that shows off how you make mealtime fun for a chance to win a cruise package, a year’s supply of Perdue Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken and more.  Here’s how to enter:

·    Take a digital photo, color a freehand picture of your family’s mealtime fun or enter your artwork from Crayola Lights, Camera, Color!

·     Visit perdue.com/familyfun to enter your artwork in the contest

·     Starting October 1st vote for your favorite entry at www.perdue.com/familyfun and tell your friends and family to do the same

Perdue also recently released its latest line of frozen chicken made with 100% whole grain breading.  PERDUE Frozen Fully Cooked whole grain breaded chicken is made with 100% white meat and features the Whole Grains Council stamp and provides 4 grams of daily fiber per serving.  The line includes Whole Grain Chicken Breast Nuggets, Whole Grain Chicken Breast Strips and Whole Grain Chicken Breast Tenders.

Our family got to try out Perdue’s Whole Grain Chicken Breast nuggets and they were easy to prepare and definitely a hit with this chicken-loving family!  We also received a box of 99-count Crayola crayons which have provided my son with hours of creative fun.  I’ll admit I’ve been having fun coloring with him, too!

Perdue and Crayola have generously provided me with 5 coupons for a FREE package of any variety of Perdue Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken to share with my readers!  5 lucky winners will be drawn.

Shopping for Glasses

Posted on September 12, 2010 by Mandy

I’ve finally had to realize that I need a new pair of eyeglasses.  I haven’t picked out a new pair of frames since I was nineteen years old.  I’ve been a contact lense wearer since I was 12 years old, but some eye infections in the past few months have made me realize a back-up pair of specs are now in order.

I recently had an eye exam to be fitted for prescription glasses but have yet to actually pick out a pair of new glasses.  It takes me a while to choose a pair I am happy with because the lenses have to be so thick.  I only use them in case of emergencies, which don’t happen very often, but I’m still embarrassed at how thick the lenses have to be and how they make my eyes looks so tiny through the lenses.

I’ve been looking around online at Glasses USA and getting some ideas for choosing a new pair of glasses.  There are so many great choices, brands, and styles that I’m actually enjoying this shopping around process for something I normally dread purchasing.  The hard part will now be in the deciding.

I’ve never bought a pair of glasses online, but the process seems very simple and not having to make another appointment to be fitted for them is very convenient.  If you’re in the market for new glasses, GlassesUSA is offering my blog readers 10% off their purchase using the code mommy10 when prompted at their website.

Visit GlassesUSA on Facebook to find even more great savings and promotions.
