Schwinn Bicycles- Joy Ride

Do you remember your first bicycle?  Mine was small and red and had a big plastic basket (and a horn!) on the front of it to hold my baby dolls as I took them for a spin around our cul-de-sac.   Almost every memory I have of growing up in my neighborhood involves a bicycle, for it was my primary mode of transportation as a child.  For years, my friends and I rode up and down our street, raced one another, and used our bikes to go to the nearby snow cone stand in the summer.

Our family was given the opportunity to receive 3 amazing bicycles from Schwinn.  Aren’t they pretty?

We’ve had so much fun riding around the neighborhood on our bikes and even my own father has borrowed my husband’s bicycle a few times to take it for a spin.  It’s a great form of exercise and really gives your legs a workout!  We grownups had forgotten how much fun riding a bike can be!  My son is still in the process of learning to ride without training wheels, and the fact that he now has such a cool-looking “big boy bike” is encouraging him along.

If you’re in the market for a new bicycle, check out the Schwinn Joy Ride website, which is filled with tons of useful information, such as choosing your perfect bike, pointers on teaching your child to ride, maintenance tips, and even a little about how your bike can help you fit into some smaller jeans.  While you’re there you can also start your own biking  journal and follow other Schwinn users’ adventures at the Joy Blog.

Now that the weather has cooled down some, we will be riding even more and I will make periodic updates here on my blog about our biking adventures.

These bicycles and the information in this post were given to me by Schwinn through MyBlogSpark.  The opinions in this post are my own.
