Costume Express Kid’s Christmas Costume Giveaway

Posted on December 10, 2010December 14, 2010 by Mandy

Don’t you just love watching children in Christmas pageants?  There’s nothing cuter than watching little angels, wisemen, and even the jolly old fat guy himself (Santa) dressed in their cute little costumes on the stage.  There’s also nothing worse than having to come up with these elaborate costumes at the last minute, unless it’s having to make them for those of us who don’t sew.  Yikes!

Fortunately, Costume Express has you covered for any occasion and all of your costume needs, including the accessories to complete any look.  They even have costumes for your pets!

GIVEAWAY:

Costume Express has generously provided one lucky winner of this giveaway with a Kid’s Christmas Costume up to $50!

TO ENTER:

Leave a comment on this post letting me know which costume you would choose (you can find them here) and why.  Deadline to enter is Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11 PM Central.  US Only.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a quick giveaway and the winner must respond in a timely manner.  It takes 5-8 business days to ship the costume to the winner, so if your child’s school/church/whatever play will be ruined if this doesn’t arrive by next week, please be cautioned.  This would make an excellent win for someone who has a child that loves to dress up or perhaps you know a school, church, or other organization who does plays each year and could benefit from having this on hand in the future.

Good luck!

The Facebook Number Game

Posted on December 8, 2010December 8, 2010 by Mandy
facebook number game

If you’ve run across a bunch of numbers in status updates for your friends on Facebook, chances are they are playing the number game.

What is the Facebook Number Game? You ask your friends to send you a private message with a  number (any number will do…this is for them to remain anonymous when you post about them). Next, you put that number in your status and tell the person how you feel about them without mentioning them by name.

EXAMPLE: 2234- You have always been such a great friend….blah, blah, etc.”

At first it became annoying for me to check my Facebook feed and see a bunch of numbers. However, it then became a challenge to see if I could figure out the person that each status was talking about. I do love a challenge, you know. I finally caved in and played along, asking my friends to give me a number so I could tell them how I felt about them. I’m glad I did. It never hurts to reminisce about good memories of people and it also gave me the chance to let them know how special they were to me. Of course, I could do this at any time and I’m sure it is probably annoying the people on my friend list. There’s just something liberating about telling the world how you feel about someone anonymously, though.
