It started out innocent enough. My younger cousin and I were on a mission to find a nice pair of clear shoes to wear with our bridesmaid dresses for her wedding. Simple enough, right? I mean, after all, we were only looking for something like this:

We looked at several places online, but nothing was CLEAR…everything had a silver or gold embellishment on it, or the heel was too high, or either they were just too expensive to only wear once. So I decided I’d venture on to Ebay. I figured we’d luck up and find something perfect and reasonably priced since we may not ever wear these shoes again.

Know what you get when you type in “clear shoes” on Ebay?

Something like this…

Or if you’ll be wearing them in Vegas and you feel lucky, might I suggest these?

You can even get them in light-up or with fantastic fishies swimming with every step you take:

I finally tracked down a reasonably priced pair that had a two inch heel, were not platform or stiletto, and didn’t give the appearance that you later would find me performing two for one lap dances at the gentlemen’s club.

But God bless these women who wear these for a living. I hope they’re lucky enough to marry a podiatrist.

lol. I have an online store that sells the type of stripper shoes you’re talking about. Never really thought about the reactions of your average woman looking for “clear shoes. It was a fun read.

If you ever are looking for another pair I’d suggest adding 5inch (or less) to your search query so you find something lower than 6” high heel platform stripper shoes.

Wouldn’t want to steal the show from the bride 😉

Oh I absolutely love them! Particularly the fish ones. They aren't real fish though surely?

I wore that first pair on my wedding day – that exact pair.

I have never worn them since and just gave them to Goodwill on the weekend…

Oh my goodness, girl. Just looking at those shoes I thought of so many jokes but I'll spare you. I'm just so glad that you found some to go with your one time event. I'm still trying to figure out why in the world we spend so much money to buy something we will never wear again. Maybe you should have gotten the stripper shoes. Your hubby might have liked them! 😉

Those shoes are too funny! Thanks for the laugh. As a person who is only 5'3", I can appreciate high heels, but I also like my feet and would likely break my neck wearing anything that high.

Isn't odd that shoes are the only article of clothing a stripper normally keeps on?
