We’re up to our ears in Vacation Bible School this week. The theme for this year is Power Lab and the kids are having way too much fun making slime and alien headgear. I volunteered to teach the 3rd and 4th grade this year and had 16 kids in class tonight. It was wild. I also thought I’d never see a disco ball hanging from our sancturay ceiling. I’m sure the elder church members are praying for our souls before they go to bed every night.

A disco ball hanging from the sanctuary ceiling! Nothing like “Got to Be Real” for Jesus. Tell me that someone gets that joke. Please tell me someone does. 🙂

We did Power Lab, too. I helped with crafts and they didn’t do anything fun or science related. 🙁 I may have volunteered myself to head up crafts next year, so maybe I can get creative!

Did you get a CD with your VBS stuff? Ours used the songs off the CD and damn if I don’t sing those songs about everyday! 😛 Emma had it in her CD player for about a month straight.

Just read an article in the paper last week about how VBS is going high tech. Times, they are a changin’.

Our church is doing Power Lab too, but ours isn’t until August 11. I am volunteering in the Science station…I can’t wait. I think it will be so much fun!

Oh, my. I did crafts this year at our VBS and, um, I’m glad it’s another year before we do that again. I think you’re a much better sport than I am. 🙂

Our theme for VBS is the Power Lab too! We start the first week of August. I’m teaching the 1st graders so Gavin can be in my group. Have fun this week!

Your VBS sounds and looks cool. We never had things like that to do. I’m jealous.

Those robots are awesome! I’ve been wondering about where you were when we didn’t get our Sunday post from you… I figured I’d start worrying if we didn’t hear from you tonight.
