Energizer Family Emergency Kit Giveaway

Posted on October 22, 2012January 10, 2016 by Mandy
Spread the love

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Energizer’s Change Your Clock Change Your Battery program, reminding everyone that when you set your clocks back for Daylight Savings Time on November 4, it’s also the perfect time to change the batteries in your smoke detector.  Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries.*

*Fire statistics were obtained from reports by the Fire Analysis and Research Division of the National Fire Protection Association

Our family was sent an Energizer Family Emergency Kit to have on hand in case of a power failure and a product to help alert us in case of a fire.

2012_1020october40004

Our kit contained the following Energizer products:

· One 2-pack of Energizer® MAX® Batteries (9v) with Power Seal Technology – Dependable, powerful performance for the devices that help keep your family safe; now hold their charge when stored for up to 5 years

· One Energizer® Flameless Wax Candle – Enjoy the realistic flicker of a scented wax candle without the worry of open flame or hassle of soot and dripping wax

· One Energizer® Weatheready® Safety Light – Waterproof flashlight powered by AA, AAA or C cell batteries; includes safety whistle and imprinted preparedness checklist

·One Kidde Battery-Operated Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarm

I am so grateful we had some of these Energizer products on hand this past week when our area was under a tornado warning.  I felt better knowing that if we lost power, we had a flashlight, batteries, and the flameless candle.  It also reminded me that I need to collect all of our emergency supplies and keep them together.  I’m forever collecting them all over the house, and that really does me little good when it counts the most.  Keeping them in this handy tote bag will ensure I have what I need and save time.

GIVEAWAY:

Could you use an Energizer Family Emergency Kit?  I also have one containing the products listed above to give away to a lucky reader!  To enter, just fill out the Rafflecopter form below.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Giveaway ends Monday, November 5, 2012 at 12:01 AM Central.  U.S. Only. Void where prohibited.  You can also check out the Energizer Bunny’s Facebook Page to enter to win an additional Family Safety Kit through November 4.  In addition you can find fire safety tips, a home escape plan that you can download and draw your family’s home escape plan, as well as a coloring and activity sheet.

I was provided with the kit pictured above to facilitate this post and one to give away to a reader.  All opinions are my own.

What a great prize pack to have on hand just in case! I love the idea of a voice alarm.

After reading your review, I decided I better check the batteries in my smoke alarms – dead as a doornail. I am going today to get new batteries and to check out new smoke alarms. My smoke alarms are ancient and I am not even sure they work. Thanks for the review as this has got me motivated to get things right.
