I’m not THAT mom this year for Easter.  There are no Resurrection Rolls, Resurrection Eggs, Resurrection Gardens, and y’all…we didn’t even dye eggs this year! I know…I know.   But, we did make some cute Easter cupcakes.

My son also created “Jesus’ House” and the cross in Minecraft (complete with purple sash, which he will change to a white sash come Easter morning to signify the resurrection of Jesus).  He’s also the only kid I’ve ever known who received a visit from the Easter Bunny AND the Tooth Fairy all in the same night.

We will be going to church this morning and having lunch at my grandma’s house.  Hopefully, if the weather holds out, we might get to have an Easter egg hunt.  Afterwards, we will come home and take “chicken and dumpling-induced” naps.  My grandmother’s cooking is so good that it usually causes naps no matter what she makes!   I’m just extremely glad we don’t have work or school on Monday so that I can recover and enjoy spending some time with family.

This looks oddly similar to my Easter (my boys are Minecraft freaks). I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
