To me Dole means pineapple but I have discovered that they have a lot more than pineapple. The mandarin oranges and fresh pineapple juice are also a favorite in my house. A serving of Dole canned fruit in the lunches is an easy way

This is the beginning of my essay.

that beet salad sounds yum. Here’s what I submitted:

For years, I’d get the four o’clock sweet tooth: You know what I’m talking about — that innate desire to satisfy your taste buds with something sweet and delicious in the post-lunch/pre-dinner hour. I attempted going with an apple or banana to try and get more fruit into my diet, but the natural sugar only made my desire for the real sweet stuff even more apparent. Then I tried mixing up some Dole fruit with a little vanilla yogurt — what a difference. Not only was I satiated, but I stopped craving sugar. Now, it’s my go-to mid-day snack and I’ve started using it in some dinner recipes as well. I’d love to try more recipes with Dole fruit, so please help me do that by choosing me as your chef!
