Cheap Thrills

Spread the love

Yesterday E.B. and I had to make a quick stop at the Dollar General store to buy some cat food. We stop in there at least once a week and E.B. almost always scores himself a little, inexpensive toy. It’s my little way of saying thank you to him for behaving long enough for me to grab what I need and get out as quickly as possible.

I know. But sometimes you just do what you have to do.

On this particular trip he picked out a $2 remote control toy car. He then proceeded to happily toss it in the shopping cart and proclaim loudly to everyone within earshot, “Mom, this is the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!”

And to think I stressed out about Christmas last year. (Insert eyeroll here)

Too cute! My son is thrilled to go to the dollar store with me, only because he knows he can always pick out something. It’s like hitting the jackpot.

That’s pretty cute! I heard in our side of town that they are closing down all the dollar stores. Yikes.
