Celebrating National Fair Trade Month With A Keurig and Green Mountain Coffee Giveaway

Is the coffee you drink a fair trade coffee?  Fair trade means that coffee famers receive a fair price for the coffee beans they grow, which in turn helps them to re-invest in their crops, communities, and their future.

Green Mountain Coffee has proudly offered a variety of Fair Trade coffee flavors for more than a decade, including my very favorite (and appropriately named), Columbian Fair Trade Select.  To help spread the word about Fair Trade, Green Mountain Coffee and acclaimed musicians Grace Potter and Michael Franti are celebrating with “Great Coffee, Good Vibes, Pass It On” – an awareness campaign that celebrates the good vibes of fair trade through free concerts and an opportunity to win a trip to source.

As part of the K-Cup Ambassador program, I was sent a variety of fair trade K-Cup packs from Green Mountain Coffee.  I received the Columbian Fair Trade, Sumatran Reserve, and a seasonal favorite, Fair Trade Certified Pumpkin Spice.  I was extremely excited about this mailer because it contained the Pumpkin Spice!  I had never tried this flavor of coffee that I hear everyone raving about this time of year.  Now, I can make it in my own Keurig anytime I want at home!  My verdict?  Add in a couple of sweeteners and it’s sooooooo good!

  276. Definitely Colombian. I had no clue they had this pumpkin spice (just saw it here ) and I am so going to try that, I can only imagine the yummines 🙂 Maybe they would go with pumpkin bars I recently figured out how to make. It is the season, lol

  307. I start each day with a cup (or two) of coffee. I’ve been on a Chai kick lately though, so I’d have to say that I’m most interested in trying the Vanilla Chai cups.
