As a kid, I loved the Memory game.  My friends and I spent many an hour in front of those little square cards trying to see who could match the most pictures.  It’s a game I keep in my library and use often with my students.  This Valentine’s Day printable matching game is free to download and is played just like the popular matching game.  If you have a kid who loves matching games, print off one of these and enjoy some fun Valentine’s Day activities.

VALENTINE’S DAY PRINTABLE MATCHING GAME

This is a great little boredom buster at home or in the classroom!  It would also make a fun activity for a school Valentine’s Day party.  You could even print this out and cut the squares and package them in these fun little Valentine’s Day DIY Pillow Boxes that are super easy to make and hand them out as party favors or even as Valentine’s.

I have printed out a few sets of these and will use them in my library as a center for the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.  If you plan to use them again in the future, laminating them is a good idea.  I use my Fellowes laminator all the time at home for my classroom projects and so much more!  It fits right on my desk and gets the job done!

DIY Valentine’s Day projects are always something I look for on Pinterest every single year.  Now, there’s nothing wrong with store bought Valentine’s, because Lord knows THIS mama has done that herself a time or two.  Or three.  But there is just something special about a cute, hand-made Valentine that makes my heart smile.  I love them because they are eye-catching and you also know a lot of thought and work went into them.  Ditto for all of the cute little handmade Valentine candy treats.  If you’re like me and you love the look of a DIY Valentine’s Day project, but you don’t have tons of time to spend creating them, these DIY Valentine’s Day Pillow Boxes are just the thing to make for your special Valentine’s or if your child has to take Valentine’s Day cards and candy to school.
