Farberware Knives: All A Girl Really Needs In Her Kitchen

Posted on January 13, 2008May 31, 2019 by Mandy
Spread the love

I’ve seen the culinary light! I’m in love! I found something that will make my life easier!  It’s Farberware knives!

I finally have crawled out from under the rock I’ve been under for the past few years and have totally fallen head over heels for a gift my husband got for Christmas. He asked for a knife set and my parents got him one. At the time I thought he was nuts. We had knives….why the heck would we need a butcher block set of BIG knives? He insisted we did. Whatever.

So tonight I’m making a chicken and rice casserole and have to cut the chicken breasts. Just for giggles I grabbed one from the butcher block and used it.

farberware knives

Ohhhhhh. THAT’S why.

Y’all, these Farberware knives shaved at least 20 minutes off the prep time of cutting these chicken breasts. Yes, I was the poor soul who had been using a regular old kitchen steak knife to cut her chicken with.

It almost pains me to type that.

Update:  I wrote this post back in 2008.  It’s 2019 and we still have and still use this amazing set of kitchen knives!  I am sad to say we have lost a couple from this set, and we plan to retire this block set and buy another one very soon.  We will definitely be purchasing this again, because it held up quite nicely for so many years!

I was just talking to my mom yesterday about how important GOOD kitchen tools are – like the right pots, pans AND knives.

When I got married, I registered for the most basic pots and pans. They were JUNK. Little by little I have accumulated good cookware, and it makes a world of difference.

I only have a few good knives – I would love a set like your husband got! Maybe next Christmas I’ll put it on my list!

    Hey Mandy,
It’s me again. LOL. I just thought of those Counter Tops I wanted. They are called Granite Counter tops. Yeap, that’s it. Take care and have a great day.

    Hugs,

    Good Morning Mandy,
I must say, I love your new Knife set. I have a thing for the Stainless Steel look. I do have a Stainless Steel Refrigerator DH bought me a couple of years ago. It has Ice and Water thru the door. My dream is to have someday a Stainless Steel appliance Kitchen and those fancy countertops. I just forgot the name of them. LOL. I hope you enjoyed cutting up those Chicken Breast’s with the Knive’s. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

Just discovered you on Google looking for a review of Hi Ho! Cherry-O. 🙂 Guess you answered my question for today. No Hi Ho! Cherry-O in this household. Ever.

Enjoy the new knives. Even if they are your husbands. 🙂
