E.B. did fantastic on his first day of school yesterday. He ran to his classroom as soon as we arrived (can we say Eager Beaver?) and I had to interrupt him from playing (just like last year) to get my hug and kiss goodbye. I would have hated to leave him without doing the goodbye ritual because, clearly, he was beside himself with anxiety.
When I picked him up that afternoon he made it to the car and was sound asleep before we got out of the school parking lot, I kid you not. He was exhausted.
But the best part of the whole day? His uniform shorts that were actually not on backwards! Score!

Two more weeks to go before ours start school.
Great problem to have that he is having so much fun he has to be reminded to say goodbye.

What a great first day. You know they are independent when they barely say goodbye. So glad he had a great first day!

Awww, that is so sweet. I am terribly jealous that school has started for you. I have three children running around hollering and still have three weeks until school starts, ugh!
Love the part about the shorts getting on right, how cute!

These kind of remarks used to make me roll my eyes but SERIOUSLY it seems like it was a couple of months ago that I'd walk my son into preschool every morning. Now I drop him off at the elementary school and he goes in all by himself and he's in the 2nd grade!
What was my point? That it goes fast, I think, is what I was trying to say. Hello, Captain Obvious.
