The Best Christmas Gifts I Received This Past Year

Spread the love

The best Christmas gifts I received this past year were all amazing things that I’m using just about every day and I thought I would share what I am currently loving! I guess you could say I am at an age where I have a hard time coming up with Christmas gift ideas. I’m somewhat of a minimalist. I hate buying things I won’t ever use and don’t like for a lot of clutter to sit around, so I got very intentional this year when family members were asking me for gift ideas.

The very first thing I did was create an Amazon Wish List and added in some things that I knew I would use and get joy from. I adjusted the settings in the list to where if something was bought it wouldn’t let me know and spoil the surprise. Then, after Christmas I went in and deleted the things I had received from my list. I love that Amazon offers a wish list.  It makes it so easy to add in things throughout the year that I see. I also keep a separate list going for ideas for other family members for birthdays and holidays.

So what were the best gifts Christmas gifts I received this year? Let’s break it down…

Staedtler Triplus Fine Liner Markers

So, I thought I was going to venture into the world of bullet journaling.  I kept reading that these were amazing markers to use for that. I love bullet journals, but quickly learned that I am not artistic and my visions for this were not lining up with the reality. However, I will say that these markers are absolutely amazing for that purpose. If you bullet journal and worry about bleed-through on the pages, I couldn’t see any with these markers.  I was even using them in a cheap Walmart bullet journal. I still love these markers and I’m still sort of trying to use a bullet journal. And the colors…amazing! I was super happy with these!

Epic Blog Planner

There are a lot of things I like to keep up with when I use a planner for my blog. Last year I got way off track and didn’t bother to do much tracking of traffic and social media stats. I love that this planner has room to plan all of the good stuff.  Blog posts, stats, expenses and income, etc. are included.  I also love that it’s not thick and cumbersome to use. It’s perfect, and while I may not be using every single feature inside, the EXTRA information it comes with from the author (who knows a thing or two about blogging) is absolutely priceless. This planner isn’t dated so you can pick this up at any time of the year and get started right away.

Storage Cart

Ohhhh, y’all. This cart! I don’t know why in the world I didn’t get one of these sooner. It just dawned on me one day that this might be helpful in my office upstairs to hold extra office supplies instead of me having to trek up and down the stairs to my main desk in our living room to get the things I needed. It is not only terribly cute, but it was the perfect solution to my problem and it rolls like a dream.

Coach Purse

I consider a good purse a huge splurge. I am not one who buys a new purse multiple times a year. Oh no. I prefer to buy one and wear that sucker into the ground! The last time I had a new purse was three years ago and I have used it every single day for three years. It was this exact same purse, but in the brown color. There were so many times I wished I had also bought a black one, but I just never did. My little brown Coach finally started showing the wear from three years of serving me well, so I treated myself to this black one. I prefer a cross body purse because I like to have my hands free when shopping.

Neutrogena Shower Gel

I absolutely LOVE Neutrogena shower gel.  I’ve been using it for a few years now and one of the best things about it is that it is also available in a huge 40 ounce bottle.  One of these bottles lasts me well over 7 months, so I’m always excited to get this.  It’s a practical gift that lasts a long time!  See?  One of the best Christmas gifts I got just keeps on giving!

ESV Large Print Journaling Bible

I have been wanting a journaling Bible for a long time and when I saw the beautiful cover of this ESV Bible, I knew it was the one.  It’s just as pretty in person and I love that it has lined margins to write notes.

As you can see, I’m just a practical kind of girl.  I love gifts that are really useful and this year’s gifts were awesome!  Perhaps some of these best Christmas gifts I received will give you some ideas as well!
