My son and I have been spending lots of time at the pool this summer and swimmer’s ear has definitely been an issue for me a couple of times already. If anyone is going to get water up their nose and down in their ears while swimming, it’s me.

What Is Swimmer’s Ear?

Swimmer’s Ear is water trapped in the ear that causes a clogging sensation. It’s both uncomfortable and annoying, because it causes mild discomfort and affects hearing.

Similasan Offers Relief

Similasan, a company committed to help people feel better by offering natural homeopathic remedies that provide symptomatic relief, helped me diagnose my swimmer’s ear by using their symptom checker on their website under “products” and then suggested the right product to treat those symptoms. In my case, Similasan Ear Relief was just what I needed to dry out my ear and relieve the clogging sensation caused by swimmer’s ear, and it worked like a charm! To use, simply place 4-5 drops in your ear while tilting your head sideways, then hold your head sideways or place cotton in the ear to keep the drops in.

Results:

The Similasan drops were easy to use and provided the relief from swimmer’s ear that I needed. In the past. I’ve never treated swimmer’s ear and just put up with the symptoms until they eventually cleared up. It’s great to know there is a product that can relieve the symptoms of swimmer’s ear and reduce the amount of time I have to deal with the problem.

Similasan Products

Similasan also makes an Ear Relief formula for children ages 2 and over. Ask a doctor before use if the child has ear drainage or discharge, pain, irritation, or rash in the ear, had ear surgery, or dizziness. Stop use and ask a doctor if irritation (too much burning) or pain occurs and/or symptoms persist for more than 48 hours.

Did you know– Similasan Ear Relief was the #1 Pharmacist Recommended ear drop formula for the 10th year in a row!

    Hey Mandy,

It’s good to know that Similasan also makes an Ear Relief formula for children. My 7 year old nephew, just a few days ago had been complaining of some kind of pain in his ears, as checked by doctor, he has an ear infection. He was given an oral medication which he didn’t like, he doesn’t like the taste of medicine. 🙁 It is good to know that ear drops are now available. Will let my sister know about Similasan for kids 🙂

I will never forget when I got my first and last ear ache. It was 8th to 9th grade summer and I had summer school. Our high school had just built a brand new swimming complex and we were the first students to use it. Apparently my ear disagreed with the fancy of it all because I woke up in the middle of the night with teh worst ear ache. From then on Similasan products have been my friend!

There is nothing worse than having pain in your ears, if you ask me. I hate it! I absolutely love ear drops, though…Is that weird?
