Washday soaps? Jane tried ‘em all, and every new detergent. But, none matched Tide – and so she cried, “Please send some Tide! It’s urgent!”

To celebrate its 65th anniversary, Tide is releasing special edition retro 1947 packaging on its laundry detergent, Bounce dryer sheets, and Downey fabric softener available during this month in Target stores.  Remember when women wore their heels, pearls, and dresses to do household chores?  Me either.  While some things change (thank goodness!), Tide’s commitment to offering the “cleanest clothes possible” still remains. 

In honor of this anniversary celebration, Proctor & Gamble is generously offering two great prize packs to my readers, which include a Bounce Dryer Bar, a retro Tide t-shirt (featuring the Tide logo), and samples of Tide and Downey.  Deadline to enter is Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11 PM Central. (U.S. Only)

    I hate it when it falls behind. Then with one washer and dryer, it can take forever.

    I don’t mind doing laundry until it comes to my 17 yr old’s work clothes. He is a cook at a BBQ restaurant and his clothes don’t smell as good as the food he cooks. They smell like sweat and grease and rotten food. They are so gross.

    I love climbing into bed after the sheets have been washed and hung outside on the line to dry. The air freshness is wonderfully relaxing.

    I hate that I don’t have a washer/dryer in my apt. it’s down two flights of stairs, and we have to share w/ the rest of the building, and they are only open certain hours. ugh!

    I love when the laundries warm and smells good and you get to watch a show and fold laundry and think about life.

    Everyone is responsible for emptying their pockets before putting their clothes in the laundry, and it’s annoying when someone doesn’t, and there’s shredded paper all over the clothes. I also have another rule, any money I find in the laundry is mine.

    I hate that my washing machine takes forever to unlock after it’s done spinning. I stand there, wanting to get on with my life, and the lid WILL NOT OPEN!

    I love the new location of my clothes line. Made one on the back porch, so now I can even use it when it’s raining. They smell great.

    I love pulling the warm soft clothes, sheets and blankets out of the dryer and draping the blanket around me to warm up. So nice and cozy. Having a washer and dryer is a real treat..I like the Plan Tide Free of scent.
