Just this week, I have noticed that my hair seems to be going from very dry to very oily depending on which way the wind blows (it seems). I’m also noticing more and more grays. My students at school just love to point those out! Ha!

Pantene recently partnered with experts in the field of thinning hair to gather clinical data on 1000 women to get a better picture of age-related changes in density and diameter of hair. They also identified the common burdens of age-related hair issues:

1.Breakage

2.Split Ends

3.Frizz

4.Unruly Grays

5.Lackluster Color

6.Thin look

7.Dryness

They also found that the hair aging process begins before menopause, around age 35, and that symptoms go beyond graying and thinning.

Pantene has teamed up with Target stores nationwide through the end of December to highlight new anti-aging products that offer women hair and skin anti-aging secrets that “help you drop a decade or more”. New Olay Professional anti-aging products will also be featured.

Acorn Footwear Makes A Great Holiday Gift

Who doesn’t love a great pair of shoes? As I’m getting older, I’m having to make smarter choices (as in comfort) about my footwear, and this is even extending over into slippers I wear around the house. My feet are happier and I feel so much better all around when I have great support in a shoe. However, I don’t want to trade comfort for fashion, and that’s why I love when I can find a comfy shoe that also looks great!

I recently had the opportunity to test out a great pair of moccasins form Acorn, a footwear company passionate about comfort and quality.

I received the Acorn Crosslander Moc in Blue. These mocs feature soft, Italian wool-blend knit uppers with water-repellent suede detail. They are fully lined with soft Sherpa fleece and insulated with Thermolite synthetic down with unique hollow-core fiber technology for superior warmth and durability. And? They feel fabulous on my feet!

I normally wear a 7 1/2-8, so I requested these in the 8 and they fit perfectly. I love that the bottoms of the shoe are thick enough and durable to withstand indoor or outdoor wear, and that these aren’t super flat. The thick sole definitely adds the support I need.

CVS/Charmin Basic 1 Roll Giveaway

If I had to think of one product our home could not function without, it would have to be toilet paper. I’m so scared of running out of this one product that I stock up whenever I can. However, if you’re like me, you probably don’t give much thought to what is going on with your plumbing after the toilet paper is flushed. It can be a real concern, and that’s why Charmin evaluates its toilet paper to ensure that it is safe for all the places it might end up after flushing (drain lines, sewers, septic tanks, and municipal wastewater treatment plants).
