Tea Collection Children’s Clothing Review & Giveaway

Posted on May 23, 2011May 30, 2011 by Mandy

I love shopping for clothes for my little guy, but if you have a little boy, I’m sure you’ve been in the same position as I’ve been many times…frustrated about the lack of cute clothing for boys.  My son is 6 now and he is starting to develop his own taste in clothing, which is wonderful, but I can only take so many cartoon characters on his clothes.  Sometimes it’s so hard to find that balance where he’s not dressed too young for his age.  When a representative from Tea Collection contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing some of their clothing for E.B., I looked at the site and immediately swooned over the fabulous selection that awaited me!

E.B. had outgrown his summer pajamas from last year, so I was on a mission to find those first. This is the Koi Dragon Set and I ordered them a size larger than he would normally wear because they do fit a little snug, which the representative informed me of on the phone.  They are super cute and soft and the longer shorts look so adorable.  I also think the design is really cool!  E.B. is into ninjas, so he was so excited over the dragon design.

And this is one happy customer asleep in his very comfy pajamas!

I also picked him out two shirts and also ordered them a size larger than normal, just to be safe.  I chose the Sailor Striped Tank Top and the Cangrejo Tee.  He love, love, loves the crab shirt and can’t wait to wear it when we go to the beach in a couple of months!  The sleeveless tank is perfect for those hot summer days and can be dressed up or down.

Tea also has a fantastic selection of girl’s clothing, baby clothes, and even women’s clothing, and the quality really is top-notch.  My personal pictures for this review really do not do these clothes justice.  The clothes we were sent did not fade or shrink and they feel just as soft after washing them as they were when they came right out of the packaging.  Shipping is free on orders of $150 or more and just $7 on anything less.  You can also get a 10% discount on your first order by signing up for their email alerts at the bottom of the website page.

I am completely sold on Tea’s children’s clothing and will definitely be back for future purchases.  It’s very rare here in Mississippi that we run across clothing for our son that is “California cool” and of such excellent quality.

Retro Tide Giveaway

Washday soaps? Jane tried ‘em all, and every new detergent. But, none matched Tide – and so she cried, “Please send some Tide! It’s urgent!”

To celebrate its 65th anniversary, Tide is releasing special edition retro 1947 packaging on its laundry detergent, Bounce dryer sheets, and Downey fabric softener available during this month in Target stores.  Remember when women wore their heels, pearls, and dresses to do household chores?  Me either.  While some things change (thank goodness!), Tide’s commitment to offering the “cleanest clothes possible” still remains.

In honor of this anniversary celebration, Proctor & Gamble is generously offering two great prize packs to my readers, which include a Bounce Dryer Bar, a retro Tide t-shirt (featuring the Tide logo), and samples of Tide and Downey.  Deadline to enter is Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11 PM Central. (U.S. Only)

The Prodigal Cat Returns

Posted on May 22, 2011 by Mandy

hungry cat

Looks like we’ve been punked.  Last night at 11 PM there was a sad little meow at our front door.  As soon as I opened up the door, LJ ran in and went immediately to his food bowl.  I’m guessing after 4 days on the run (4 days!!! You little stinkin’ devil we thought you were gone for good!!!), he was mighty hungry.  He also slept very well at the foot of our bed.  I’m too happy to see him to be upset.
