Box subscriptions make great unique gift ideas for kids and teens.  If you have kids or buy for kids during the holiday season, or even for birthdays or other special occasions, you know most children have so much stuff!  When my son was younger, I would literally spend a couple of days just organizing his toys.  About every six months or so I would have to decide what to keep and what to send to a consignment store.  If you’re tired of adding “stuff” into your home, consider a box subscription gift for a kid this holiday season.  They’re perfect for providing hours of fun and enjoyment with less “stuff” left over.

Box Subscriptions for Little Kids

Bookroo is perfect for little readers. Each box contains 3 board books or 2 picture books. These are just the right books for toddlers and preschoolers and reading to these little ones is so important at this stage.  How exciting would it be for your little one to get books each month?

Lil’ Bear Book Club is a monthly board book subscription for little kids.  Books make such a great gift for toddlers and preschoolers who love to be read to!  Helping them start their own little libraries is a gift that keeps on giving.

Box Subscriptions for Kids

Little Loving Hands – Kids Crafts for a Cause. is a box subscription that has such a unique concept.  Not only will your kid receive a box each month with a craft to complete, but the idea behind this one is to give back.  Once the craft is made, a prepaid envelope is provided for your kid to ship the craft they made to a charity in need.  Their crafts will become part of a bigger project for a charity and some will even be given as gifts to recipients of the chosen charity each month.  Awesome!  If you know a kid with a big heart, this is the perfect way to help them give back.

Groovy Lab in a Box serves up a heaping helping of STEM fun in each monthly box.  Everything a kid needs to explore and create are in the box and boxes can be purchased as a one-time gift or a subscription.  This box is geared towards kids who can’t get enough of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Bramble Box sends monthly themed boxes full of crafty fun for kids.  What I love about this box is that you can choose the theme and it also comes with the option of a one-time box gift.  This is perfect if you don’t want to commit to a monthly subscription but you are still looking for a unique gift.

Brick Loot is the perfect box subscription for the LEGO loving kid!  Each month a box will arrive filled with custom items that work with LEGO bricks and custom building. Kids can literally spend hours building with LEGOs and this will offset what they already have perfectly.

Green Kid Crafts is a monthly box subscription service that provides kids with crafts that will teach them about the world around them in a fun way.  The boxes are geared towards STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) and are not only fun, but educational.

craft box
Walt Life, Inc. is a monthly subscription box that contains merchandise from officially licensed Disney suppliers, such as Disney Parks, Disney Store, Disney Resorts, and more.  If you know a kid (or maybe even a big kid) who loves Disney, this box will totally be appreciated.

Box Subscriptions for Teens

Sign up for Beauty Box 5! and the beauty product-loving teen you know will receive 5 monthly samples of their favorite beauty brands delivered right to their door. This is perfect for those teens who adore makeup and beauty products.

Creation Crate teaches older kids and teens how to build electronics.  If you have an older kid that’s into techy stuff and likes to work with their hands, this subscription box will be one they get excited about.

Smart Art, LLC. is perfect for the budding artist! Each box contains full-sized art supplies plus a project to teach and inspire creativity.

Steve Spangler Science delivers the best in hands-on science to your teen’s door each month. This box could also work well for an older child or tween, but they may need supervision to complete the projects.

Fun Science Experiements
Gamers and Geeks are the focus of the Powered Geek Box .  Items are specially geared towards gamers and cartoon lovers.  Items range from apparel to figurines, keychains, mugs, and more.

I hope these unique gifts for kids and teens will help you find just the right thing you are looking for.  These box subscriptions make perfect gifts all year round.

Great collection of toys! We chose Brick Loot because our little boys are lego fanatics. Our nursery room is filled with this lego stuff everywhere 🙂

I definitely know what you mean, Emily! We have TONS of LEGOS here. I never imagined it would be one of my son’s favorite toys.
