I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Orbit for Kids. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Good oral hygiene for kids is so important.  We learned that early on when my son had to have a dental procedure done at the hospital when he was three years old.  He brushed daily, but still ended up with four teeth that needed caps.  Since then, I make a point to make sure he has brushed his teeth each day and try to limit his sugar intake to avoid this problem again.  He has lost many of those baby teeth since, but I want to make sure his permanent teeth are as strong and as healthy as they can be.  This is sometimes a struggle because he hates to brush, hates the taste of most toothpastes, and just puts up a huge fuss in general.  To help with this, he has a toothbrush that flashes a light that lets him know how long he needs to keep brushing.  I’ve found a toothpaste he tolerates at best, so along with the fun toothbrush, he manages to get the job done daily.

One thing my son loves more than anything is gum and candy.  It seems as if he is always coming home with gum and candy from school, church, and even the barber shop when he gets a haircut.  I don’t mind him having a little, but he sometimes gets carried away thinking he needs several pieces of gum at once.  I was a kid too at one point, so I totally get that gum loses its flavor and sometimes you just need a little more.   Thankfully, Orbit for Kids is sugar-free, so I don’t worry as much.  Chewing Orbit for Kids is beneficial for my son in two ways:  it helps clean his mouth of food debris and it also stimulates saliva flow, which helps protect teeth from plaque acids and strengthening them.

When used with brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouth wash, Orbit for Kids is a fun option for kids to help take care of their teeth.  The gum comes in two flavors kids will love- original Bubblegum and Strawberry Banana.  Available nationwide as of late July, Orbit for Kids has been awarded the ADA Seal of Acceptance.  That alone makes me feel better!

My son loved the Strawberry-Banana flavored Orbits for Kids gum so much that I’m finding little gum wrappers all over the house.  Clearly, he approves.
