A few weeks ago we attended one of our town’s biggest festivals, OctoberFest. It’s a huge display of arts and crafts, great live music, and a Memphis in May sanctioned BBQ competition. Several of the high schools also hold their class reunions around this time, so you always bump into people you haven’t seen in years and see everyone you know. It kicks off on a Friday night, and the smells of BBQ that waft all over town starting the Thursday night before are just heavenly and really gets everyone excited.
What did we do there?
We ate BBQ, of course…and washed it down with RC Cola.
E.B played in the kiddy section, which had inflatable everything (at $3 a pop to get in!!) and took a train ride.
And I got to look at a few things, like purses, which I love.
However, it was the weather that finally did us all in almost 1 and a half hours after arriving. It was SO hot. In October! The heat just drained us, so we ended up leaving much earlier than we normally planned and came home and took a big nap.

That sandwich looks delicious! It sounds like a fun day, all except the heat that is. Hope it cools down for you soon.

Sounds like you guys got to eat some good grub and have a blast! I went to October fest out in Torrance, CA at Alpine Village. I think it was more of a beerfest than anything else haha. Still a blast though. I will definitely make it annual event!
