It’s been a very, very quiet Monday around our home.  I have done very little thanks to my blood sugar levels being very high the past few days.  I had to stop taking one of my medications (Ozempic) due to how sick it was making me, so the other medication I take (Synjardy) just isn’t cutting it alone.  I put in a call this morning to my endocrinologist to see what she wants me to do next and I am waiting to hear back.  I have just been very lethargic and not up to doing much.

I did manage to get our downstairs dusted, vacuumed, bathroom cleaned, and kitchen in ship-shape on Saturday.  Hubby’s vacation is over so it was time to get back at all the household things.  I still need to do upstairs, but it may have to wait until tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on how I am feeling.  I hate feeling this way and I have so much I want to accomplish and it frustrates me when I can’t do it.

I’ve been spending a lot of time organizing our pantry.  I’m trying to stock up on things we use a lot of because of inflation.  I’ve only gotten the upper cabinet finished.  Hoping I can get the lower cabinet done this week.

I also got our laundry room cleaned out really good and we hauled away a lot of stuff to Salvation Army.  I spend a lot of my time in the summers cleaning out because I have the time to do it.  Once school/work starts back it will be busy.

I was so excited to be able to donate two big, bulky wooden bookcases I was using in my eBay room and replace them with these 5-tiered wire racks.

Hubby was so sweet to put them together for me and it looks so much better and I have so much more room on them to hold auction items.  I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, so getting this accomplished was really exciting.  I’ve been busy trying to take pictures and list items and get everything organized on the new shelves just so.

I’ve also cleaned out the refrigerator and it’s hitting home to me how much food we waste.  Yesterday I salvaged this vegetable tray that surely would have gone bad.

I diced up the remaining carrots and celery and made chicken soup.  I let it simmer all day yesterday and it ended up being so good.

I hope I feel well enough to get started on another one of my organizational projects tomorrow.  I have a dentist appointment in the morning and I plan to cook a meatloaf tomorrow night.  We will see how it all shakes out.

Nothing like a good bowl of nourishing homemade soup! You’ve managed to be quite busy despite not feeling your best. Hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry your not feeling well and your blood sugars are up. I hope the dr. and you can figure it out…keeping you in prayer.

P.S. I have been working at our pantry as well. Yes, prices are going up and up and no end in sight either.

Thank you so much Linda! I do appreciate your prayers. Pantry work can be exhausting, huh? But it always looks so good when it is finished.
