I can remember learning about George Washington as a young child in school. However, after becoming an educator, I learned much more about this man nicknamed the Father of Our Country.

George Washington was elected President without any competition.

He was the only President to go into battle while serving as the President.

By the time he became President, he had only one tooth.  He started losing his teeth when he was 22 years old.

He did not have a middle name.
