Happy Mid-November! It definitely feels like fall in Mississippi. We’ve had some very cool mornings here lately. I am thankful for the change of seasons, but I am NOT ready for it to be cold. I’m 47 and the older I get, the worse the cold seems to affect me physically.
October
I had every intention of posting sooner about the fantastic Halloween we had here. Our local trick-or-treaters more than made up for missing out last year because of you-know-what. We had a plastic storage bin FULL of candy and passed out every bit of it. We ran out of candy about two hours in. But, it was getting dark anyway and that’s when we personally shut down handing out candy.
We saw some fantastic costumes and my husband, who LOVES Halloween, had an absolute blast.
This unicorn and dinosaur were especially hilarious! They were running everywhere and acting silly and animated. Everyone was cracking up. I found out later on Facebook that these two characters belonged to someone we know. Ha!
Fall Foilage
The trees around us are finally starting to turn their beautiful fall colors. It’s rare to catch very many trees that let off beautiful colors around here. Most just drop small dead-looking brown leaves everywhere. I have spotted one gorgeous tree with red leaves on my way to work. I have wanted to get a picture so bad but it’s a busy highway and taking pictures while driving is a no-no! This is my favorite tree in our backyard:
Coming Up
Our fall has not been without some setbacks. I’m dealing with a health issue that I will definitely post more about very soon. It’s the main reason why I only made one blog post in all of October. It’s not serious…just very painful.
I’ve also got a ton of things to do geared towards preparedness and the holiday season that I also want to post more about. I hope I can get on that very soon! Time is ticking away!

Such lovely photos…so sorry to hear about health issues, I found out some very unpleasant news myself, sigh. I do hope though you have a nice Sunday.
