ebay income report

I’m finally getting around to posting my February 2019 Ebay income report.  Be forewarned….and read this post to see why February was not a good month.  Needless to say, the numbers will reflect that but I’m praying this train is finally back on track!

February 2019 Ebay Income Report

February 2019 Sales- $130.92

Expenses- $49.79

Net- $81.13

This year so far- $182.95

The sales total is a little bit more than last month, so I definitely love seeing this number go up.  One HUGE thing I did for my Ebay business is that I signed up for GoDaddy Bookkeeping.  I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner, but I just recently learned of it.  It has been SO easy to crunch the numbers.  This program does everything for me.  It’s amazing!  If you do online auctions, or have any sort of side hustle business, I can’t stress enough how accounting software can help your business run more efficiently.  It has definitely made getting the numbers for this income report super easy this month.

What Did I Sell?

I sold another S’mores caddy, a macro lens attachment for a cell phone, some dollhouse furniture, a pair of flip flops and some books.  I don’t even think I listed anything this month.  Besides the S’mores caddy, all of these items were my personal items I had in my house and I’ve already accounted for what I spent on the caddy when I ordered it in December.

Any Problems or Selling Issues?

I had one issue, and it was my fault.  I was trying to change the prices on my auction by raising each auction by a dollar that I had free shipping on to cover the new increase in shipping charges by the post office.  Instead, I ended up changing ALL of my auction prices to a dollar!!!! FREAK OUT MOMENT!!!! Thankfully, it didn’t take too long to correct this, but it did take some time and I ended up unintentionally missing a couple of auctions and two buyers scored HUGE deals on some of my merchandise.  I was so mad at myself, but I’m not one to go back on my word, so I honored the $1 prices and lost out on about $40.  I was sick over it for a few days, but I’m chalking it up to another Ebay lesson learned.

Final Thoughts

I’m really disappointed that I didn’t list anything this month.  Sickness really hit our house hard and it was all I could do to just work all day and try to keep the household chores going.  Maybe March will be better.  Stay tuned for the next Ebay Income Report!
