I thought I would post a little fall home decor tour today since we finally got out our fall decor. Usually, I would have all of my things out on the first of September, but I just haven’t had the mental fortitude to get it done on time this year.  Be forewarned…I didn’t put out very much at all, but I thought I would still share a few pics so I can look back on this someday and laugh at myself because we all know styles and tastes change throughout the years, and this will probably be very tacky years from now if it isn’t already.  Anyway…..

I guess we will start with the front entrance.

I set a few things on this table to jazz it up a bit.  I’m almost positive the little pumpkins, the flowers, and the tin turkey were all from Dollar General.  Only the best!  Haha!

Next, we have the front living room.

I didn’t really add much to the mantle, but the little pumpkin swag is new (again, DG), and I was proud of myself for changing out the batteries in the lanterns so they could glow again.  It looks cozy at night!

I also added a little wreath around this ceramic pumpkin on the coffee table.

Next up is the dining room. I set out a few things on our little china cabinet and hung the swag I normally use in the living room on it.

I also set up the dining room table with fall placemats and a simple centerpiece.

And lastly, I hung up my favorite fall words picture in the kitchen.

And that is about it. As you can see, I’m not heavy on the Halloween decor. I do have a little light-up pumpkin upstairs in a window, but that’s about it. I like to keep it more “fall-ish” so I can keep everything out until Thanksgiving. That way, I get about three whole months to enjoy this, assuming I get it put out in September.

It’s not much, but it’s just enough to make our home feel a little more cozy while not having a ton of things to have to put away when this season is over.

It looks really nice. I haven’t done any decorating so far! I might wait and decorate for Thanksgiving.

You have a lot more decorations out than we do. They all add a nice, cozy touch for the season.
