Today let’s continue talking about cheap and easy to make Christmas décor ideas for your home. I gathered a few ideas this time that don’t require much of your time, skills, nor money and after done they bring more Christmas to a household as well. Besides that, get some more ideas for your home and get some pretty amazing gift ideas too by visiting Nordstrom’s website! Especially now then there is this huge bunch of Kohl‘s deals and promos wandering around! But that is out of topic! Here are the best DIY décor elements for your home!

christmas decor ideas

Holiday Shakers

As it might suggest, all you need to have to make an excellent and super sweet Christmas decoration is a few salt shakers, a few Christmas-like figures and a few pieces of evergreen. This way you can turn cheap salt shakers into little winter wonderlands by nesting toy evergreens and toy deer. Keep in on your dining table and enjoy little scenes of winter!

Gift Pillows

Make yourself feel cozy and surrounded by an enormous stack of gifts by simply wrapping bows on all throw pillows in your living room. This decoration idea is one of my favorites because it requires minimum materials. You already own a few throw pillows, and I bet that you have a few ribbons too. So just wrap your pillows like gifts and enjoy cozy and warm Christmas.

Baking Molds

A few vintage or a few old baking molds you don’t use anymore can be a very great looking décor element too. And in fact, you don’t even need much more to that to make a décor piece! Just get a string or a colorful and festive bow and tied these molds on. Then – it is all up to your imagination where you want to put it. These décor elements can be either on your Christmas tree, as a window décor piece or be something nice to look at over the fireplace. All baking molds add a sweet touch to any tree or room, and it won’t cost you anything at all!

Family Photos Garland or Wreath

For a sentimental and great décor piece gather all your most adorable pictures of your family and try to make something out of it. I have two ideas – first is to make a garland of these photos and hang it around your household. Second is to glue copies of that as a wreath and have a truly unique traditional Christmas decoration instead. Add some Christmas-like color to it and enjoy beautiful décor element for long!

Holiday Cards Tree

If you have a ton of holiday cards, you can make a use of them too! You can either make those garlands or wreath as mentioned above or create a special holiday three out of them! Get a few wooden dowels, cut them, so they get a shape as a Christmas tree and glue various holiday cards on it. Add some ribbons, bows or even small ornaments and enjoy little eco-friendly and great looking tree!

Orange Snowmen

You can also create a few good looking snowmen made from real oranges or tangerines! Just put them as you put a snowman: make oranges stay with a few toothpicks and add a few paper cut pieces in festive colors to be eyes, hats and so on. These easy to make snowmen are great to look at and it surely will smell great for long. After the Christmas – who knows – maybe you can even eat them! Oranges are a great dose of vitamins!
