An early morning start for me this Wednesday! 5 AM, to be exact. I heard The Teen bumbling around downstairs, so I decided to get on up. He went to bed at 8 PM last night, so he was up with the chickens this morning. I figure I can get a nap this afternoon if I need a recharge. Hubby should be coming in later this afternoon, so I’ll need some extra energy to get dinner going this evening. I can’t believe for over ten years, I was getting up by 4 Am every day for work, and now, I can easily sleep until 7 AM if I’m not woken up.
I’m making Tuna Noodle Casserole tonight. I found that recipe last week while doing a Google search. I made it, and we ended up loving it, so I’ll be making it again. I’ve been trying out many different recipes this summer from Pinterest. Sadly, so many of them have not tasted very good at all. I’m finding myself going back to more trusted sites like Kraft and Campbell’s for tried and true recipes. I need to pull out my church recipe book and scope that out as well.
The Teen and I had dentist appointments yesterday. I got a great report, but the poor kid has three cavities. The dentist is pretty sure it’s because he’s not putting enough force behind his brushing, as these cavities were close to the gum line. He suggested we get him an Oral B electric toothbrush because it would do most of the work for him even if he didn’t brush as vigorously as he should. I’ve added it to my Amazon cart and will be ordering it this weekend. His appointment is set up for next week to get the cavities filled. I hate it for him. I took a selfie while waiting for him to finish. I figured I might as well since I had a little makeup on. Ha!
So far, this week has been filled with a mountain of paperwork and helping my mama out. Since I’m leaving my job, we have to transfer me to my husband’s insurance, and I have to close out some things and set up automatic payments for the benefits I want to keep from my job. Mainly my life insurance. So I’ve been making many calls, filling out lots of forms, and trying to get everything squared away before the end of the month. I also started a big project of going through our personal files here at home, tossing old ones we don’t need, and getting my Life Binder in order. I’m still working on this one.
My mama also came down with The Virus late last week, so I’ve been delivering food to her, watering her yard and plants, and grabbing her mail. She is doing pretty good, and I am so grateful. My mama and I are both heart patients, having had the same surgery. She had hers a few years before I had mine. So, I was very concerned when she was diagnosed. I am glad her case seems to be a mild one. We are almost certain she contracted it at church. I really hate that cases are going up again where we live. I’m concerned about what this will be like when school starts back.
I’m off to finish the laundry and tidy up the master bathroom. I’ll leave you with a picture of Hershey Girl, one of our backyard strays. She’s very skittish, but I was able to get close enough to take this picture of her sunning on the patio table. She really is a pretty girl!
