When I was in elementary school, recess was the hi-light of my day. It was a time when we could run around, play with our friends, and get a break from schoolwork. My school had a fabulous playground and I spent many, many hours swinging, climbing the monkey bars, and sliding down the tall slides. There was almost always a game of kickball to join in, too. I have so many great memories of my elementary school years and a big part of that is thanks in part to recess.
