You may or may not have noticed that things here at my blog have been really, really quiet.
There’s a reason for that.
We have become all-consumed with t-ball. At least 4 nights out of the week we have practice or a game and to say that we’ve taken this all in stride as far as throwing off our normal, calm nightly routine would be a serious understatement. This is E.B.’s first year to participate and all I can really say at this point is that we are literally hanging in there. His sensory disorder has made transitioning to team sports very difficult and we have many, many tears some days, but he is slowly adjusting to the game and he’s so proud of himself when he hits the ball. His coaches have been nothing but wonderful and are very understanding when he has his meltdowns. The team hasn’t won a game yet (we’re 0-3), but every game gets a little better and it has been so much fun to watch.

I think it is great that you are giving team sports a try…and thank you for going with tball instead of soccer for that precious one! don't forget that martial arts, swimming, gymnastics are usual great choices as well.

Confession……I don't really know what T-ball actually is!
Care to enlighten me? I have no clue, other than a sport where your kid looks very cute!
