One of my favorite Christmas traditions while growing up was baking Christmas cookies and making candies with my mom.  There were three specific old family recipes that we whipped up every year and we still do.

It’s a special time I look forward to spending with my mom and, although we try to include my son, more often than not he’s only interested in being our taste-tester!

This holiday season, Betty Crocker wants you to Get Your Betty On with your loved ones.  They have generously offered me a gift box full of goodies to try out and one to give away to a lucky reader!  What’s inside?

I bake “traditional” Christmas cookies … but I really would like to bake gingerbread men. I just can’t seem to get them right…. I eat them anyway of course, but there’s some others make that simply make me drool… I want to make the drool worthy ones!

My favorite Christmas Tradition is to get the whole family together and go a pick out our tree at a tree farm. We make it a day. I make Hot chocolate, we listen to Christmas music in the car on the way to get the tree, and then we decorate the tree togehter. We have so much fun!

Every year the Sunday before Christmas the women in the family get together to make cookies and candies. We then divide them onto trays and pass them out to friends and loved ones. We’ve been doing it for over 15 years. Thanks.
