Spread the love

Since moving into our new apartment I’ve been slowly accomplishing decorating projects one by one.  I love the look of greenery, plants, and flowers, but I definitely wasn’t born with a green thumb.  I’ve managed to neglect every live plant or flower I’ve ever brought into our home, and not on purpose, but simply because my time is so filled with other things.

I have a bare spot in our living room that I am looking to add a topiary tree or something similar to in order to fill in and I’m also looking for some fake flowers to add as a center piece on our dining room table.  Now that I think about it, we could also use an arrangement on our entertainment center and sofa table.  Thankfully, artificial flower arrangements  have come such a long way since I first remember seeing them as a child.  Many arrangements now look so real you have to touch them to be sure.  Not only are they great as far as low maintenance, but if you or someone in your home has allergies, these are the perfect alternative without having to sacrifice having flowers altogether.

I love the look of arrangements that are simple and contemporary.  I’m still in the process of selecting curtains, a table cloth, and placemats in our dining room, so no final decision has been made concerning the centerpiece, but I’m to fill in these spaces with bright, beautiful flowers now that summer is almost here.
