My crepe myrtle tree is peeling
And the monkey grass is burning to a crisp.
These are the dog days of a Mississippi summer. But since I don’t have a dog, here’s a cat snoozing in a shady spot.
How hot is it where you are? Do you have Mississippi beat today?
Currently on hols in Cape Cod where after a hot and humid start it is now much more pleasant in high 70's and low 80's with little humidity.
Back home in Ireland we never really have any humidity and if the temperature passes 70 it is practically considered a heat wave!
Ugh I hate hate hate the heat. I have lived in Florida my whole life and I do not step outside unless necessary in the summer. The humidity can suck the life right out of you!
I have every fan on in the house, every curtain closed, every light off trying to stay cool. I am not a fan of cold weather, but this 100 degrees is killing me!

I don't even WANT to know how hot it is in Atlanta today. It's been in 100 or close to it everyday this week so I doubt today was any different. 🙁
