As I started putting my purchases on the counter in Dollar General this morning, the cashier leaned closer to me and said, “When you told your little boy he couldn’t have that chocolate candy, he put it in your purse.”

I peered down into my purse, and sure enough…there was the pack of Rollo’s I told E.B. he couldn’t get. No wonder the child didn’t put up a fuss when I told him no.

So today we had “the talk” on what stealing is and why it’s wrong. Fitting for a Sunday, I suppose. What kills me is that he did it right under my nose and I never even noticed. The child is good.

I remember when I was about four I stole a pack of gum from the check out line at the grocery store. My mom discovered it after we got home. She made me go back to the store, admit what I'd done and pay for it. She was so upset with me. Honestly when I took the gum I don't think I realized I was doing anything wrong. Of course I more than understood after that, and never did it again.

Boy, He IS good! I was just reading your "About Me" page. I chased the Mosquito Trucks too when I was a kid. That really might explain a lot, LOL!

Thanks for reading my blog. That means so much to me!

My guy just did that w/a pack of M&M's in a checkout line while we were Christmas shopping. I knew by his response and his guilty face th/ he was up to something sneaky. I didn't see a thing though. Don't think my first ever did that.
