Happy New Year! Ours started out with a celebration of fireworks all around our house. The neighbors across the street were celebrating in style last night, and we reaped the benefits of watching. It was cold and rainy, so being able to look out the window and watch was a bonus!
E.B. and I have been hanging around the house today. We’ve cleaned out my bedroom closet, we’ve watched kid movies, and as I type he is hopefully getting sleepy enough for an afternoon nap. I’ve enjoyed our day off and all of the time off for the holidays has been fantastic, but I can tell the little guy is getting bored and misses his friends at school.
Did any of you have an exciting celebrations last night? What have you done today?

We celebrated with friends, cooked out on the grill, listened to music. Which now that I type that, sounds boring but it was fun!
New Year's Day I watched Julie and Julia, which I loved, loved, loved.
Happy New Year!

We had only 1 teen home with us. She went to dinner with a friend and then went grocery shopping with me.
Teen 2 went to a slumber party.
Me and hubs watched District 9. Which is a very weird movie.

2 of our kids managed to stay awake until midnight with us!
A FREEZING walk on the beach this morning, a wee bit of shopping this afternoon, and a quiet even – perfect way to spend New Years Day!
