Dear E.B.,

Making toy guns out of these?

Gets you a time out at preschool. I’m sure someday someone at the Lego company will appreciate your artistic ability and imagination and demand to hire you as Creative Director because you make the most awesome toy guns ever, but for now? No.

Are we squared away on that?

Good.

Love, Mom

Legoland is awesome, but not as big as you would expect for it to be called a "land". But they do have some pretty cool creations and a small area for kids to play.

Yea, boys will make anything and everything into a gun. They don't need to be taught this, it's in their dna. My son comes home with wood chips from the park that look like guns.

I agree with most of your readers – a time out? Boys pick up sticks and 'make' guns. It's what boys do, and many girls. Seems harsh to me, but that's me I guess.

Good luck, more with the school than the kid. He's sounds a-okay to me!

Have to say I don't really think that deserved a time out. These are the things that make boys boys. Poor EB. I take his side on this one.

Oh no! At least it was a time out and not worse! It definitely seems to be a boy thing. I think my kid can make imaginary guns out of just about anything.

That is what boys do, mine have never been around guns but they still do it. That is when they aren't building towers out of the legos.

HAHAHA! Sorry! I have been there as well! I am not sure where boys learn this stuff. We don't have television in our home and they still make stuff into guns.
