I think I can safely sum up my move from Blogger to WordPress with these words…WordPress gave me a serious case of the dumbs. I’ve spent the better part of this past weekend in a panic because once my blog was moved I quickly figured out that WordPress was not the way I wanted to continue blogging. If I had started out at WordPress perhaps I would feel very differently and I still think design-wise that you can’t beat a WordPress layout (unless you have a really cool Blogger one like a few I have seen), but it just wasn’t for me. The end.
The really fun part was trying to get my server to point back to the Blogger blog. If you ever try what I did and decide you aren’t happy, I can definitely help you get your domain pointing back to your Blogger blog. I think I’ve got a few strands of hair left and only a few bruises from beating my head against the wall.
I’m kidding. A little.
It’s just really good to be home. Blogs should not cause that much trauma/drama. Ever. Lesson learned.
And Blogger? You complete me. I’ll never cheat on you again, pinky swear.
I do sort of miss Blogger sometimes, especially when I see sites like yours that look totally unique and cool!
After several attempts, I finally got a WordPress blog up. Still love Blogger most. You just can't beat it for ease of use. I can definitely sympathize.
Honestly WordPress scares me. It seems so much more versatile but probably too complicated for me. Welcome back.
Well I've been following your move and am glad you helped me decide lol! I put up a free blog on WordPress.com and while I realize that it doesn't function like a wordpress.org one where you can do more, it just counter intuitive to me. I have just become comfortable with Blogger, and like my blog and so I too shall stay here on the other side of the tracks as it is!

I dabbled with a test blog on WP, but my brain just does not function that way!
Sorry that WordPress what hard to work with. I think I am lucky since TechyDad is a webmaster and did most of my work for me. He had a lot of great technical places that he went to get assistance w/WordPress glitches. We now have 3 (or is it 4) WordPress sites between us.
I agree with you, you need to stay where your comfort zone is and Blogger works well for you 🙂
