Last week we took a very quick trip down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to visit relatives. I had packed E.B.’s bathing suit “just in case”, but didn’t think we’d have a spare moment to swim. Well, we did and we had the best two hours of fun our family has had in a LONG time. I left that beach feeling more relaxed than I had in a long while and Cracked Daddy and I decided right then and there to sell the house and move into a little thatched hut and be beach bums.
I kid. But living out our retirement years on the beach sounds pretty sweet.

Living on the beach is nice, except in Hurricane season, especially when a Katrina comes along, with a 31-foot storm surge! So long beach house!

I’d love to just live within driving distance of a beach! I can only imagine how much fun ya’ll had. What a sweet photo!

I love going to the beach. It is so relaxing. I just wonder that if I lived on the beach, would I appreciate it as much?

I have always wanted to live by the sea.
In N Ireland, no where is very far from the sea as it is so small.
We now have a holiday cottage about a mile from the sea on the north coast. When the kids are out of school we spend most of our holidays there – including 6 weeks in the summer.
Unfortunately the sun does not always shine, but it is so relaxing (well, as relaxing as it can be with 3 kids!)
