Do you remember the episode from Cosby where Claire and Cliff both come down with the flu and have to leave the oldest kids in charge? The kids start abusing their power and making the other kids do undesirable chores and things like that. The whining and tattling commences from the smaller kids and reaches epic proportions until Claire throws back the covers from her bed and declares that her sickness is over and SHE is now back in charge?

That would be my house.

Cracked Daddy started getting grouchy….E.B. was whiney….and then Cracked Daddy came down with the sickness. Today I had to throw back the covers and declare my sickness over (even though it is far from it) and take back control of the house and childrearing. It’s amazing what one can get done in a Nyquil induced stupor is all I’m saying.

But. I have made a few observations and declarations of my own.

1. I hearby further declare that all three of us must never, ever get sick at the same time again. Especially with grandparents out of town.

2. All the sniffling, snorting, coughing, and grunting sounds like feeding time at the zoo in my house.

3. Said sniffling, snorting, coughing and grunting sounds (nonstop, might I add) are FRIKKIN ANNOYING.

That is all.

Oh, and one more thing….today is the last day to enter for the Pepsi Ultimate Super Bowl Party Pack…so hurry!

Ah crud! That really stinks! I just know if my man is sick, NO ONE else is allowed to be. Can you say drama queen? Yes…queen.

My husband always tells me, “You are not allowed to get sick.” I think the world would collapse if mothers took a sick day!

My friend I am sorry that you are all sick, but I can so relate with you! My kids were like zoo animals which had been released and were running wild! I laugh about it now as it was funny, but not so funny while being sick. I know you to will look back and laugh too one day. Get well my friend!

I really hope you all feel better soon! We’ve been going through the exact same thing this winter (over and over again). But, I on the other hand, just hide under the covers and hope it all goes away!

Mommies can never…I mean NEVER…get sick! It’s not fair…it’s just the way it is.

I hope you are all feeling better soon! My husband is working in Cleveland today if you need a good Doc.

Oh no…I hate it when our house gets sick all at once, or even worse when its gradually passed from one to the next over a course of weeks. You go “Claire”!

LOL OHH MY i am so living this right now. Not that everyone is sick just me but man telling daddy he has reins of the kids puts him in a grump mood and then he takes it out on everyone. NO FUN. I would also like to declare that only one child can puke at a time! There are not enough bathrooms in the house!

Oh noooo, you can’t all be sick at the same time? Don’t they know they’re supposed to wait on you hand and foot while you’re sick?

    *hugs*
