Fish oil. Doesn’t really sound very appetizing, does it? When my doctor recently mentioned to me that I needed to add Omega-3 fatty acids to my diet and suggested I buy some fish oil capsules to take, the thought made me want to be sick. There are many reasons why you need Omega-3 fatty acids, and you can read about them here, but the main reason my doctor suggested them to me was to help reduce inflammation.
Around this same time, Mom Central had an opportunity for moms and kids to try some omega-3 and vitamin D supplements made by NutraSea. I was sent a formula for adults and one for kids for E.B. to test out. Both products were in a liquid form. Am I a bad mom to admit that I made my own son try his formula before I tried mine?
The NutraSea Kids formula smelled just like berries and my son liked it. I was amazed. He said it tasted good, too, so I measured out a serving for myself of the adult formula and gave it a try. The NutraSea+D for adults did not smell like berries, but it didn’t have an awful taste like I imagined it might, so overall, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience with NutraSea. No bad aftertaste and no unpleasant side effects.
NutraSea is recommended for children two to thirteen years old and if any of your children have fish allergies you should consult your doctor before using NutraSea.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of NutraSea Kids campaign and received NutraSea samples to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
