Figuring out how to help preschoolers learn shapes can be tough. I can remember when my son was just turning three and when I began working with him at home to learn shapes, colors, and numbers. My son also had a talking shape puzzle very similar to this one from Melissa & Doug that we also used for some hands-on shape recognition practice.
The shape sorting cube is also another fun toy we incorporated into our learning. My son got really good at this and loved to see how fast he could get all of the wooden shapes into their openings.
