This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.
Infertility is a topic that is very near to my heart. The ability to be able to become pregnant when you want to is something I used to take for granted. I always just assumed that my future husband and I would just decide we wanted a baby and that would be that. I couldn’t have been any more naïve or wrong.
As a newlywed, I pretty much had my life all planned. My husband and I wanted children and we planned to start our family as soon as I finished college and landed a job. A couple of years later, with those accomplishments behind me, we started trying to have a baby. To make a long story short, months passed by. When we hit the almost two-year mark, we saw a fertility specialist who prescribed medications for me and we even attempted an intrauterine insemination (IUI). That procedure worked, but then I had a very early miscarriage. Feeling defeated, I just decided I couldn’t carry on anymore with expensive medications, procedures, and having my emotions yanked all over the place. We decided to take a long break and regroup when had saved more money and I felt emotionally and physically ready to try again.
Amazingly, almost a year after we decided to stop all fertility treatments, I became pregnant and gave birth to our son. He’s 11 years old now, and I simply can’t imagine our life without him. We were absolutely elated with his birth and couldn’t wait a couple of years later to try and add on to our family. Our son turned two and we decided to try again. Naturally, after being able to have my son, I just assumed that all our issues had resolved themselves and it would be easier this time. I was wrong again. This time around, I had already made peace with the fact that I was fine if our son was an only child. We were so thankful to have him and I never pursued any other fertility treatments. He completed our family and we have enjoyed watching him grow.
Even though our family seems to be complete for now, I still regularly keep up with my cycles and I like to stay in the know with advancements toward helping women achieve pregnancy. Have you heard about The Stork OTC? It’s a device that helps assist women in their chances of getting pregnant without the use of shots, prescriptions, scans, and procedures. It’s completely private, just as trying to conceive is a private matter, and designed to be used at home.
With male infertility on the rise, The Stork OTC can be of help with many common male fertility diagnoses.
This is what The Stork OTC looks like straight out of the box.
The Stork OTC can be purchased at Walgreens and CVS and can be found in the family planning section next to ovulation test kits.
I only wish that The Stork OTC had been an option for me during that trying time of trying to start our family. It’s certainly very economical compared to the average cost of an IUI and much more private.
Please join me and a group of panelists for an upcoming Twitter party on November 29 at 8pm EST and join in using the hashtag #becomingadad. There will be some awesome prizes given away, including a $50 Visa Gift Card, ovulation test kits, and a Stork OTC. Hope to see you there!
