Call me geeky, but I can’t wait every year until about this time to start picking out my planners to start the new year. Organization is a top priority for me and I just feel like my whole world is out of sync if things aren’t in their proper place and everything I have to do isn’t written down. I just can’t get on board with keeping a planner on my phone or computer. I just enjoy choosing a gorgeous new planner before a new year starts and filling it in by hand with important dates to remember. This is also true of the way I keep a blog planner.
One thing I never realized about a good planner is that they can be a little pricey. I’ll be the first to admit I could never understand why someone would pay more than ten bucks for a planner, but this year I decided to treat myself to a better planner just to see if the price truly makes a difference in quality.
Erin Condren
It’s probably a super bad thing that I discovered Erin Condren planners, because now I am obsessed with them! I thought seriously about ordering two this year for my personal use and one for blogging, but I decided to save a little money and just order the one for my personal use. I’m still waiting on it to come in because I got it personalized, but these are seriously some of the most thoughtful planners I have ever seen. Check out the videos on the website and see what I mean! You can actually choose the layout of your pages and get the cover personalized with your name.
Lily Pulitzer
Now, I have another friend who swears by the Lily Pulitzer planner. If you are familiar with the designer, then the covers on these planners will not disappoint you. I personally think they are beautiful and this probably would have been my second choice for sure. There are some beautiful designs to choose from!
Kate Spade
Another designer with a great selection of gorgeous planners. Kate Spade planners actually run for 17 months as opposed to the regular 12-month planners. I personally don’t need to plan that far out at this time, but I could see this being useful for someone who may be planning a wedding or some other big life event.
Sugar Paper
If you love the subtle colors of pinks and golds, then this Sugar Paper planner is perfect for you! I think they are very pretty and they include weekly and monthly at-a-glance pages.
Big Sky
I have personally used the Big Sky planners for the past three years and always look forward to seeing their new designs. These planners are very affordable and look very stylish as well. I’m more of an “at-a-glance” kind of girl, so I never fully used this planner to its full potential. However, it definitely served me well and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend one of these to anyone who needs a good, cheap planner.
And of course, after you choose your new planner, be sure to pick up some fun planner accessories to make it as creative and personal and you want!

ooh I love that Sugar Paper planner! I got a kikki.K planner last year but I didn’t use it much. I didn’t like the inserts that I got for them. I think this year I will print my own inserts!
