2014

Happy New Year!   I wish I could tell you I rang in the new year with some exciting, amazing party, but this is how it went down at our house:

subway sandwich

Subway sandwiches and watching cheesy New Years Eve countdowns on TV.  Speaking of which, I don’t know if I’m just showing my age or what, but none of those shows were really exciting to me this year.  In any case, I spent the evening exactly the way I wanted to, piled up on the couch with my little family in our warm home.   Twenty minutes before midnight I was ready to go to bed.

I’m just too lazy and enjoying my time off too much to go back and post my top 5 posts of the year or even come up with my New Years Resolution list.  I don’t have any sage words of wisdom for starting fresh or advice on reaching your goals.    2013 was good to us, even though there were some slight bumps along the way, but overall we had a wonderful year.   I hope and pray that the new year is just as well.   I hope the same for you, too.

We ended up having a quiet night at home this year and I am totally ok with that. We are up early with the kids every morning and I needed a good nights sleep LOL.

I totally hear ya on that. It’s going to be so hard to get back on our schedule come Sunday night!

I took the night off work and was super excited to stay up all night. We went to a friend’s house and hung out but only made it to 10:30. My age got the best of me and I tired out. We went home and went to bed. Hope you have a wonderful 2014!

Glad you had the night off, Terra! I know that was fun! I can’t believe how tired I was this year.

I think that is an awesome way to finish up the year … rested and content! It doesn’t get a whole lot better than that!

That’s a great way to look at it, Beth! I’m up to my ears in laundry now. LOL! Hope you have a great new year!
