One of my very favorite holiday memories is the annual Christmas Eve breakfast my parents would host.  Imagine all of their closest friends and both sides of our big family all together in one little (at the time) home.  It was chaotic and busy and so much fun all at the same time.  Of course, looking back, I’m positive it was a whole lot of work for my parents, but they always managed to somehow pull it off with such ease and still make their guests feel welcomed.

5 Easy Ways to Make Holiday Guests Feel Welcomed
Are you expecting a few guests yourself this holiday season?  Planning for their visit shouldn’t be a stressful event.  After all, the real reason for getting together is for enjoying their company,  sharing happy memories and making new ones.  Here are five easy ways to make your guests feel welcomed in your home.

1.  Stock the Bathroom!

There’s nothing worse than too little toilet paper in a bathroom and sending your guests on a hunt through cabinets looking for a new roll. Even worse?  Running out completely!  Don’t forget to pick up an extra pack of toilet paper.  We are huge Cottonelle® fans in our home!

2.  Serve up some snacks

Have your favorite holiday snacks on hand for your guests and surprise visitors.  Making Christmas cookies is a family tradition my mom and I enjoyed while I was growing up, and we still do!

3. Play some festive music

A little light, festive background music can set a fun tone for your visitors and put everyone in the holiday mood.  I personally love the older, classic Christmas songs, but there is no end to the variety available now!

4.  Have the facial tissues handy

Let’s face it, the holidays can be a little emotional for some.  Sweet memories can cause you or your guests to shed a tear or two.  Have the Kleenex® ready!  It also comes in festive Holiday Oval boxes to blend in with your decor.

5.  Light it up!

Plug in the tree lights, light some candles with scents of the season, and create a warm, welcoming feeling inside!

Be sure to pick up all of your favorite Cottonelle®, Kleenex®, Scott® and Viva® products, available at Walmart via the Ibotta app.  The best part?  Using this app will save you money!  With the Ibotta app, get:

  • $1 off Cottonelle 12-ct or larger
  • $1 off Scott 12-ct or larger
  • $1 off Viva 6-ct or larger
  • Buy two products and get an extra dollar back

Thank you! A family member drew this picture of our two cats. Sadly, one has passed away since then, but we still have the male. Thanks for stopping by!
