I found 5 funny snow day school closing videos guaranteed to make you laugh!  When I was growing up, I lived for snow days!  We didn’t get very many that I recall when I was in elementary school, but when we did, you can be sure I had so much fun!  My neighborhood friends and I would gather and pretend we were ice skating on the frozen parking lot of a church nearby, building a snowman, and having snowball fights!  When we were finished, we would gather at someone’s house for a nice mug of hot chocolate!

When It Snows

While many of you who live in the Northern part of the US are probably very sick of the snow by now, we live for snow days that cancel school down South.  We know you seasoned winter bunnies laugh at us because shutting down the entire county doesn’t take much.  I’ll even admit that working in a school, I get excited over snow days.  We had a couple last year, but making them up was no fun.  So, in the spirit of celebrating snow days, check out these five awesomely funny snow day school closing videos from principals all across the country.

I’m pretty sure my principals growing up never got this creative when announcing school closings, but then again, we didn’t have the internet when I was growing up.  Haha!  We had to sit and wait by our television screens to see our school’s name scrolling across the bottom, or we listened to the local radio station to announce it.

Can you remember snow day school closings when you were growing up?  If so, tell me your memories!
