I’m Mandy, mom to an 12 year old computer and gaming whiz and wife to my husband of 18 years who cooks the most amazing breakfasts on the weekends and puts up with my crazy ideas and dreams and STILL encourages me along, even though I probably drive him a little crazy sometimes. He also rocks at grocery shopping (something I don’t really enjoy doing).
I’m an elementary school librarian and I love my job. Introducing children to books and helping them develop an appreciation for reading is more of a passion than just a job. The most visited posts on my blog come from people searching about reading fair projects. This is just one of the things I get to do at my job that I love, and I love sharing all about it here.

I started this blog, formerly called Mommy Cracked, in October 2007 as a creative outlet while being a stay at home mom. I had no idea what I was doing but have quickly learned that blogging is a great way to connect with like-minded others, offers me an opportunity to write (which I love doing), and also serves as an online diary of sorts about my life, memories, and experiences.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I’d love to have you as a regular reader!
